A good, not great, spy movie for sure. John Le Carré it's not. As an action film it stands above most films of the genre, hard hitting as Bourne, almost as brutal as Wick, more stylish than either. brilliant fight scenes fun and intense to watch. Probably not brutally real but believable, fun and superior to 90% of the dummed down action and spy thrillers to come out of the last 20 years. Imagine the best of 90's spy films and early 2000's action films together, with more sex appeal than either. If you have not seen this movie, wait for a quiet evening and give it your full attention. Definitely a solid John Wick esc film with plenty of great action sequences, but a few too many at points. This is definitely a jukebox film where music just plays 24 seven as it goes from action, sequence, to action sequence and in that sense it’s very entertaining, But there’s plenty of times where you don’t feel like you can breathe in between scenes. Still, the set pieces are beautiful the actions awesome Charlize Theron and James McAvoy are both great in here. So if you’re horny for some action, this is definitely one I’d recommend.
