Hello Everyone,
I came across this TR6 for sale on Craigslist in Los Angeles.

I did have a cursory look at the car and it seems mechanically in good shape. The engine turns but did not start. The person selling it is a dealer (not very user friendly).

Interesting the rear bumper has the '74.5 rubber bumper over riders fitted and yet the front has the earlier bumper and raised turn signals fitted--and no rubber bumper over riders. So when was this car manufactured?

The front bumper has the holes for the rubber overiders. The mid year 74’s had the rubber overiders added, front and back, with no changes to the bumper height nor to the location of the turn signals. In 75 that changed due to federal mandated about bumper heights....

My car is a 1st half '74 and had the over riders front and rear, as did my friends 1st half '74. I believe the mid-year 74 change moving the bumper height. The craigslist post now reads as expired so I can;t see the images.

I'll stand corrected on the mid year roll out. My son's 74 is as Callen describes - front and rear overiders (now removed) with the front turn signals mounted in the valence not on the bumper.

After some research I bought a new '73 rear center bumper (the only one works correctly with the license plate lights in the body above the plate) and an early front bumper. It's interesting on Frank's car that it doesn't have the over riders. Just double checked and mine is a June build, so maybe that's the difference.
