As we move towards the busy summer vacation travel season, we decided to examine the French national flag carrier, Air France, and see what routes it will fly in June 2024. At the same time, we will also investigate what other airlines it competes with on these popular routes.

As Air France prepares for an influx of visitors heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympic Games, the United States will see an increase in the number of flights to and from Europe. For summer 2024, Air France will fly to the United States more than 210 times a week, serving 17 destinations. It will also operate close to 60 flights to five Canadian cities. New to the Air France North American summer schedule is a once-a-day flight between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) in Minnesota.

Air France will also offer a new direct service three days a week between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in Arizona. On the new route, Air France will deploy one of its ten Boeing 787-9s. For summer 2024, Air France plans to increase the number of daily flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Raleigh–Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina from three to seven.

Using information from the aviation data and statistics website Cirium, we have compiled a list of Air France's busiest routes between France and North America.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

From Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Air France offers six daily non-stop flights, with the earliest departing Paris at 08:30 and the latest at 20:30. For the 3,635-mile flight, Air France has 52,909 seats available. Air France's main competitor on the CDG to JFK route is Delta Air Lines, which has three daily flights, followed by JetBlue, which has two daily flights and one each for American Airlines and Norse Atlantic Airways.

From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), Air France offers three daily flights, the first at 08:45 and the last at 13:30. On the CDG to LAX route, Air France has 30,304 seats available. On the route, Air France competes with Delta Air Lines, Air Tahiti Nui, and Norse Atlantic Airways, who all operate one flight per day.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

From Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Air France offers three daily nonstop flights with 27,560 seats available. The day's first flight departs at 10:30 and the last at 17:30. This is not surprising, seeing as Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is Delta Air Lines's largest hub. Delta Air Lines is the main competitor, offering three flights per day.

Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)

From Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Air France offers two daily non-stop flights. The first flight departs CDG at 13:25 and the second at 18:45. On this route, Air France has 23,086 seats available. Two airlines compete with Air France on the CDG to BOS route, with Delta Air Lines and JetBlue having one daily flight.
