44-01 is the best hands down. Build quality,feel, sound, look. I love this bass.
Great Feeling Bass G!
OH, BTW, the PERFECT case for the majority of Lakland models is Gator ATA Molded Guitar Case, GTSAGTRBASS here at SW. Fits like a glove. That is, unless you want the Lakland case, but they don't get very many good reviews.
