Emergency Readiness Simulation Exercise on June 6
On the morning of Thursday, June 6, NYC Public Schools will conduct an emergency readiness simulation exercise to ensure our schools' continued ability to teach students remotely during unexpected situations, such as severe weather events and other emergencies. During the simulation, students and teachers will log into NYCPS systems during a pre-scheduled time slot to engage in a non-instructional activity for 25 minutes.
Since June 6 is a non-attendance day for students, participation in this simulation is entirely voluntary for students. However, the more students that participate, the more accurate and useful our emergency readiness simulation will be in preparing our schools for remote instruction.
Speak to your teachers and school leaders to learn more about the simulation on June 6.
